“Hi everyone. I’m Najum, and I’m going to show you how to tune your guitar into standard tuning. The string order for all the strings from low to high: we have “E”, “A”, “D”, “G”, B”, “E”. My guitar has a tuner built in, onto it, so I’m going to be using that to show you guys. You can use any tuner you want at home. They all pretty much work the same. If you notice on my guitar, I have a couple of symbols here. This little ‘b’ stands for flat and the little pound sign is sharp. And obviously the green light over there is going to mean that it is in tune. I’m going to hit the first string. It’s a bit sharp on the “D” side, and so I need to get it at the “E”, so I’m going to tune it up. Now [its] flat on the E, [I’m] going until I get it centered out. And right there, I have a centered E, so that is in tune. I’ll just go down. All my other strings should be relatively close to in tune. Now that you’ve got your guitar tuned into standard tuning, a good way to know if your guitar is properly in tune is to play a “G”. If you get a nice ring on it, then it’s in tune. Hopefully, you’ll take these tips out there and mess around with some tunings and have some fun.”
